Newsletter September 15, 2021

Welcome to September and our first monthly newsletter.  We want to begin by saying thank you to each and every one of you for working hard and going the extra mile.

2021 has brought Albemarle Limousine a slow, but steady recovery from the COVID 19 pandemic.  As some of you might not realize, Albemarle Limousine took a 50+% hit in revenue due to the nature of our business.  As 2021 has moved into Fall, we have experienced a steady rebound and have done our best to pass that good fortune onto our employees.

We have also taken the time to run an analysis on Chauffeur's wages, where we were able to make some adjustments and bring us more inline with our competitors here in the Charlottesville area, and to show our appreciation to those who have chosen to stand by Albemarle Limousine during these trying times. (Remember that we still offer referral bonuses for CDLs. And our Online Review Bonus is also in full swing!  Great job keeping those 5 star reviews coming.)

As you look around you might notice that we have hired some key players to help with the development and success of our businesses.  Each of these people bring a wide variety of experience and knowledge to their position.

  • Ivan - AL Operations

  • Lynae - ACE Service Manager

  • Matt - AL Fleet & VSI Mechanic

  • Heather - Compliance/HR

  • Dottie -    Accounting/Payroll/HR

  • Stacey - Client Engagement, Itineraries, and Dispatch

  • Mariko -  Client Engagement, Itineraries, and Dispatch

WE HEAR YOU

Please know that we are listening. Sometimes we just need to figure out how to make it work.

We hear that there are issues with some fleet vehicles, but this takes time to work through.  We can assure you that Matt is working diligently to repair or replace as needed, but again this takes time and money.  Repairs are being made on a priority basis to keep the fleet on the road and earning income. We will get to each of them and appreciate your patience while we move forward.

We encourage you to continue to speak with your department leads when an issue arises.  Taking these issues to your co-workers will not benefit anyone, and we can’t fix what we don’t know about if it never gets to our ears.

We would like to hear your thoughts on hosting staff dinners/workshops to help all of us better understand what needs to be done.  We would like input into ways that may make our processes easier and more efficient.

We want to thank everyone for complying with our new dress codes.  We have done many surveys and have seen that clean, neat and respectful wins the race every time.

A personal THANK YOU, to all of you who have worked extra shifts, worked outside of your hired jobs, and have gone above and beyond for Albemarle Limousine and ACE Auto Center Express.  We know the work is hard and as 2022 rounds the corner, with fingers crossed, we hope to offer more to our valued employees.

And, finally, a shout out to the detail team at ACE!  Thanks to Jaquan, Kaleb, Spencer, and Jha'mir for working tirelessly to keep the fleet clean and in ready position.  Next time you see a detailer, please thank them.  It is a hard job and they help make us look good and our clients happy!

Respectfully yours,

Andrea Saathoff | CEO
