Eastwood Farm and Winery - 2531 Scottsville Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22902 - Site Visit / Location Notes

There are three staging areas:

The Lower Lot

1. 47 PAX MAX CAPACITY

2. A gravel parking lot in front of the barn, which is located immediately upon entering from the highway.

3. Plenty of space for a 47 PAX to turn around as long as there are no cars along the corners of the parking lot (within the turn radius of the bus)

Mountaintop Lot

1. 32 PAX MAX CAPACITY

2. A small, round gravel parking lot.

3. The path leading to the lot is very steep at times.

Tent/Terrace Lot

1. 14 PAX MAX CAPACIRTY

2. A paved roundabout with adjacent parking spots

3. One potential solution is to stage directly before the turn leading up to the terrace lot. After picking up/dropping off passengers, reverse past the fork to head back down the mountain to the lower lot. Due to the uneven terrain, there will be about a foot and a half of space between the back of the bus and the ground at the lowest point as you back out. It’s possible that the back of the bus will scrape the ground if it’s full of passengers.
